Take a tour of Istanbul where you will visit both popular destinations including the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and many others. While touring you will visit quieter and less known places where you will take Bosphorus cruise and walking tours as well as visit the Underground Cisterns from the Roman period.

You will be transferred to your accommodation begin your time in Istanbul. 


Today you will take a Tour of Istanbul, visiting the icons that have come from different eras of history. While touring this beautiful and ancient city you will visit the Blue Mosque, a stunning collection of 6 minarets and a series of domes and semi-domes. A stunning courtyard offers a welcome sight as you enter the mosque to view a whole new place of worship. In the grounds surrounding the mosque is a wonderful park for the public to use with an Obelisk that marks that area that was once a Hippodrome for public entertainment.

The Hagia Sophia is a Byzantium Church that was converted into a mosque following the Ottoman Empire conquered the city. Today this building shows the history and is being preserved and maintained be having been converted into a museum. Topkapi Palace was the treasure of the Sultans, the Ottoman Empire used this extravagant palace as the administration for over 400 years. The Palace was also home for female members of the Royal family to live including wife, sister, mother and any other women. The Grand Bazaar is a traditional interior market, with 4399 shops and 497 Stalls with 2195 workshops that offer a wide variety of products.


This tour shows a different side of Istanbul, beginning in the Eyup area you will head to the top of this hilly district offering amazing views of the Golden Horn of Bosphorus. At the top of the Pierre Lot hill, you will be able to enjoy a traditional Turkish tea or coffee while taking in the view. Chora Church is the next destination, a beautiful orthodox church with many paintings and mosaics that date back to the 14th century. Taking a walk through the area of Balat you will see historic houses that were once part of a poor part of the city, today they are brightly coloured and many are becoming popular with visitors. Your walking part of the tour comes to an end in the Fener district.

This afternoon sees you taking a Bosphorus Cruise, you will travel the Bosphorus waterway that separates the European and Asian side of the city. As you cruise you will pass under many different bridges showing a variety of styles. When you dock again you will head for the final destination, the Spice Bazaar, where the senses are in for a treat. Brightly coloured herbs and spices are found all around with the smells fragrant the air, you will also be able to try Turkish coffee and teas are served in small market cafes.


Istanbul has many landmarks of however, the city has more to be seen that is hidden beneath the surface. The Roman and Byzantium eras left a lot of evidence of their culture, Beneath your feet. Travelling from one Underground Cistern to another you will take routes that are less travelled allowing you to see the cisterns easily. These Hidden Gems date back to Roman and Byzantium period, where even the utilitarian buildings were designed to be opulent while maintaining efficiency.

This tour is brand new and offers a unique look Istanbul and its subterranean beauty. Due to this the exact destinations are unavailable and offer a fascinating and intriguing tour. Please also be aware that the number of sites visited varies between 8-10 destinations depending on the time of year and Opening times.
