This 5 day Historical Highlights Turkey Tour offers a journey across this outstanding country, exploring ruins and ancient cities that are scattered around. Cave carved city of Cappadocia to the ancient city of Hierapolis. Where ever the journey goes there is wonderful natural beauty to behold as well as the man made beauty of Istanbul City. Prepare to see extraordinary monuments such as ancient Roman amphitheatres, Islamic architecture at some of the most awesome islamic historical places in Turkey. In Turkey archaeological news is frequent, and most recently the oldest temple in the world was discovered called Gobekli Tepe.

Your five-day journey begins with a flight from Istanbul to Kayseri Airport in the beautiful Cappadocia. For those who are arriving in Istanbul, we will aim to get you the best connection possible, for those already staying in Istanbul we arrange the transfer to the airport to catch your flight. On arrival in Cappadocia, we will pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation.

Overnight in Cappadocia


OPTIONAL: Your day in Cappadocia should be memorable, so why not try the hot air balloon flight over the exquisite landscape. Your flight begins before sunrise, allowing you to witness the sun cresting the horizon and filling the valleys and formations with the warm sunlight. This tour costs extra.

North Cappadocia Tour
After you land and have some breakfast, you will begin your North Cappadocia tour, where you will walk through sites you may remember from your flight, including Devrent Valley, Rose Valley and, Monks Valley. You will get the chance to visit the villages of Avanos and Cavusin, where you get to see traditional and historical ways of living. You will also get to tour through Goreme Open Air Museum.

Following your day of exploring and enjoying Cappadocia, you will take an overnight bus to Denizli. Here we provide accommodation for you to rest for a short time before your tour in Pamukkale begins.


Following your short rest, you will be picked up and driven to nearby Pamukkale.

Here you will get to enjoy the stepped pools of Pamukkale, followed by a tour of the ancient city of Hierapolis. This ancient city has many temples and building that are in varying states of decay, this offers an amazing look into the past.

Following Fascinating Pamukkale and Hierapolis, you will be driven to Selcuk, where you will stay before the Ephesus tour the next morning.

Overnight in Ephesus.


On your final full day, you will enjoy the sights of the Ancient City of Ephesus. You will also visit the Virgin Mary’s House, Isabey Mosque, and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient WorldTemple of Artemis.

After your tour, you will be taken to Izmir airport where you will catch a flight back to Istanbul. If you are staying on in Istanbul we will take you to your accommodation in the city.

Your final tour takes you to see the icons of Istanbul. You will visit the Blue Mosque, its stunning exterior architecture with its six minarets, five main domes and its series of smaller domes. It also has an unusual park outside which was the home of Constantinople’s Hippodrome.

The Aya Sofya, Hagia Sophia, is a museum that holds artefact from when it was a mosque and previously a church. Topkapi Palace is nearby and is famous all across Turkey, due to it being the administration building for the Ottoman Empire for 400 years, this gave it power until 1686.

You will visit Istanbul’s famous Grand Bazaar and lesser-known Spice Bazaar. The Grand Bazaar offers an experience of shopping in a traditional Turkish market style, although it is covered in and much larger than most markets with 4399 shops, 2195 workshops, 497 stalls. The Spice Bazaar is a wonder of the senses. Herbs and spices of all colours are a sight to behold, with the smell of these exotic smells mixing with Turkish tea and coffee is outstanding.

Your tour will end about 17.00 pm.

Today we will transfer you to the airport where you will catch your flight to your next destination.
