Symi

Symi is a small, picturesque island less than an hour from Rhodes. This mountainous island has a population of just 2, 500 people and is perfect for relaxing and immersing yourself in in the Greek culture.

The most important site to visit on the island is the monastery of the archangel Michael (Taxiarchis Michael). Originally, it was built in the 6th century, but today is a combination of restoration and new buildings from the 18th century.

Symi is also very popular for watersports and is ideal for fishing and snorkelling.
