Kendirli Gazi Cultural Centre

Originally built in 1860, with financial backing from Napoleon III. The original church was demolished and rebuilt as a way to support the Armenian Catholics, finished and open in 1900 there was a great show and ceremony for the opening.

This building has been used for many different reasons, usually, it was for the benefit of the community. After it stopped being a church it became a community movie theatre. Later it became a lodging for teachers of different levels.

Nowadays it has become a cultural centre that shows the culture that grew in Turkey and the uniqueness of Gaziantep. Unlike more traditional museum this culture centre utilises animatronics to give even more life to the exhibits, with revered people such as Mustafa Kemal Ataturk being portrayed giving speeches while moving as he would have done.
