The area of Pamukkale and Denizli is the spa centre of Turkey, with no less than 17 thermal springs.  The temperature in these thermal springs range from 36 to 100 degrees Celsius.  Pamukkale itself is one of the most popular tourist areas in Western Anatolia.  Denizli means seaside in Turkish and is located on the Buyk Menderes River.  It is a growing industrial town, known for its textile industry and outlet shopping.

PAMUKKALE
In Turkish Pamukkale means ‘Cotton Castle’. The city is located in the inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes Valley. Tectonic movements on the basin of the Menderes River triggered the rise of multiple hot springs.....more info

HIERAPOLIS
Hierapolis is an ancient city located on the top of Pamukkale and is a World Heritage site. There is a mixture of Pagan, Roman, Jewish and early Christian influences. Since the hot springs of Pamukkale were used as a spa since the 2nd century, people came to Hierapolis to soothe their ailments and often retire and die.....more info

APHRODISIAS
Aphrodisias is one of Turkey’s finest archaeological sites. The city was named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. The city was built near a marble quarry, eventuating in extensive exploitation, with the city even became known for its marble statues.....more info

KAKLIK CAVE
Kaklik cave, known as Kaklik Magarasi or the Pamukkale cave is located about 45 kilometres from the real Pamukkale. The cave is full of travertine waters, stalagmites, stalactites and a large quantity of sulphur.....more info
