Cildir Lake
Cildir Lake is a freshwater lake in northeast Turkey close to the borders of Georgia and Armenia. Surround by mountains the lake itself sits at 1900m above sea level. Primarily used for irrigating of in the local region, some restaurants and recreational destinations have made this stunning lake more popular in recent years.
During the winter months, the surrounded countryside is covered with a layer of snow, the lake can freeze over with winter games consisting of horse led sleighing can be undertaken.
