This 13 day Anzac Day 2020 offical tour offers an immersive experience of Turkey combined with the Anzac Day ceremonies in Gallipoli. You will begin with a comprehensive tour of Istanbul and will explore the battlegrounds and memorial sites of Gallipoli as well as the historic city of Troy before attending the Anzac Day memorial service at Anzac Cove. After Anzac Day you will visitPergamon and Ephesus, the site of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, followed by the white cliffs and hot springs of Pamukkale. Following this, you will take an all inclusive 3 day Gulet cruise along the Mediterranean coastline, finishing in Olympos.

Today the streets of Istanbul await, a specially made our that allows you to see some part of Istanbul that normally only the locals know of. You will begin your day with some time bartering in the Grand Bazaar with 4399 shows and 497 stalls you will often find something to purchase a variety of items, there is also 2195 workshops to handmake items for sale. Followed by a walk to the Spice Bazaar where the senses are delighted, where bright coloured dried and fresh herbs and spices are sold and all around with small refreshment stands to offer traditional Turkish tea and coffee. 

Bosphorus Cruise
The Bosphoruswelcomes you on a cruise where you will see historical icons while cruising under the many bridges that link the Asian and European sides of the city. These bridges show a variety of architecture that has spanned the history of Istanbul. 

After your cruise you will head to Taksim Square, a famous location for spending time outside in the city, where you can see families play, friends talking and people simply reading a book in the sun. From Taksim Square, you will head down Istiklal Street along the ancient walls passing Galata Tower towards Karakoy and its waterfront to end your walking tour at Galata Bridge. As you explore these quiet back streets you will be able to enjoy homemade savory foods and beautiful sweet treats. 

Important - During this walking tour you will have the chance to try a selection of street food, these are optional but highly recommended.

08:30 am - Pick up from accommodation in Istanbul 

Istanbul Tour
Today you get another look at the magical city of Istanbul. You will be picked up from your accommodation, heading off to see some of the major attractions of this historical, mystical city. You will visit the Blue Mosque, along with Hippodrome & Obelisk and the breathtaking Hagia Sophia and then go into the old Sultan's Palace of Topkapi to see some of the Sultan's many ancient treasures and visit the Palace rooms and gardens. You also get a look at some of the best shopping in Istanbul.

06:30 am - 07:00 am - Pick up from your accommodation.

Depart for Eceabat (Gallipoli region) via non-smoking, air-conditioned minibus.

12:00 pm - Arrive in Eceabat and restaurant lunch in Eceabat.

13:00 pm - Fully guided Gallipoli tour.

Troy Tour - 08:00 - 12:00
Departure for fully guided regular Troy tour for 4 hours until 12:00. During the Troy tour, you will visit the infamous Trojan Horse, the 3700-year-old city walls, the first Houses of Troy the Bouleuterion (Senate Building), the Odeon (Concert Hall) and the ruins of the various ancient cities from Troy I through to Troy IX. You will return to Canakkale at around 12:00 in the afternoon.

Free Time - 12:00 - 20:00
 After your tour of the ancient city of Troy, you will have the rest of the day free to rest before your departure for Anzac Cove for the commencement of the Dawn Service. If you wish you may use this time to visit the many famous attractions in nice coastal town including Cimenlik castle, various beaches (Habbele Plaji), and museums (Canakkale Naval Museum).

20:00 - Departure from Eceabat to Anzac Cove, where you will spend the night.

13:30 pm - Lunch in Bergama & depart for Fully guided Pergamon Acropolis tour

Ancient Pergamon, which was once one of the ancient world's major powers and will be the highlight of your day. Amongst the many breathtaking sites you will visit today, are some of the most intricately designed architectural structures of the ancient city. The Acropolis which was once the capital of the Hellenistic Attalid dynasty one of the major centers for learning and the arts of the ancient world. Amongst other impressive and monumental historical sites that you will see are listed below:

Ephesus full day tour
Today you get to start to explore the wonders of Ephesus. You are picked up from your accommodation and get taken out to see some of the best-preserved marble ruins in the modern world –
Ephesus. Ephesus was one of the Ancient Capitals of Roman Asia - the second largest ancient city of the world! A city where over 200,000 people lived over 3,000 years ago. You also get to visit the House of the Virgin Mary. An important place for the Christian faith, as it is believed it is where Mary spent the last years of her life. You will also visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world – The Temple of Artemis.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour
After breakfast, you are collected from your accommodation and depart for
 Pamukkale, which in Turkish translates to "cotton castle". On arrival, you have lunch before taking in the magnificent views of the “cotton castle” travertines. You get a guided tour of the white cliffs of Pamukkale and of the ancient, historical ruins of Hierapolis.

You then continue your journey for the gorgeous seaside town of Fethiye.

09.45 - Pick up from accommodation in Fethiye.

Gulet Cruise Starts
After breakfast, you will all be checking in to one of our Alaturka Gulets to start your 4 days of cruising the beautiful Mediterranean coastline. Today you visit
 Butterfly ValleyOludeniz/Blue Lagoon and spend the evening anchored down at St Nicholas Island. Be sure to climb to the top of the island for the most beautiful sunset, possibly one of the best of the whole cruise.

There is the optional extra activity today to go paragliding from 
Mount Baba Dag that sits high overshadowing Oludeniz Beach. Said to be one of the best places in the world to paraglide you will get to appreciate the Blue Lagoon and the infamous Oludeniz Beach from the best vantage point. For the daredevils out there an optional extra not to miss out on.

Today after making some stops along the way for swimming, breakfast and lunch you will get to spend some time in the beautiful town of Kas. Here you can shop up a storm with the abundance of jewellery shops in town or spend time just wandering the cobblestone streets soaking up the ambience of the seaside fishing village. For those of you who are into diving, there is the optional extra here to partake in a dive off the shores of Kas. Said to be the best place to dive in Turkey you may get to dive a cave, wreck or within the beautiful sites that surround Kas. You will then meet back up with your cruise boat in Kas Harbour.

Today you sail past the sunken city. Once part of the original settlement that still makes up the island of Kekova, after a devastating earthquake many centuries ago, this part of the town has fallen into the ocean. You will sail past slowly for a closer look before anchoring down on the opposite side to visit what still remains of Kekova. Here you can wander the island and walk up to the Lycian Tombs for a closer look or climb to the top and enter Simena Castle for some beautiful views over the coastline you have just cruised.

Gulet Cruise Finishes
10:30 am - Today you farewell your gulet and head onto Olympos by bus.
